Lardtree3
I'm using the original Exnem EC because there are some armors I don't want to give up for HGEC so i was wondering, can armors made for HGEC work if I have old EC installed? Or will they just be invisible?

Or will they just be invisible? They don't go invisible. If you equip all the parts it will just show the Exnem body instead (obviously) If you don't equip all parts, there MIGHT be some clipping, but not always. (Clipping doesn't mean the part turns invisible, but there can be some imperfections.) I actually use armor from all different bodies, because the clothes are more important to me than having my favorite body type, (I am a woman after all) and I'm able to use all bodies as long as I equip the whole body. This might be because of how I've set up my game though.
titipoko
It depends also on the fact, that some creators of specific armors use body-parts from several replacers such as UFF, Robert's, (HG)EC, Growlf's etc. included into their armors. This means that, for example, they used the upperbody mesh from a specific body and build their armor onto that, so the body 'beneath' is included and act's like an armor part as itself - so, if you put that armor onto your character, it looks like HGEC with D/H-Cup - but when unequiped, your basic EC body shows up. The big disadvantage of that armor-type is the dependancy of the body used. So some armors are ONLY avaible with that one setting (if not patched). It looks weird when you use a normal cup size, and with armor equipped, there is suddenly H-cup xDBut the disadavantage is simultaniously an advantage when used with companions - because that way you achieve some variations with the bodies. dezdimona
many of the armors that were made for exnems body have been converted to HGEC. Using armors from other body styles will look horrible, and out of place on the HGEC body. There's many beautiful armors out now, perhaps it's time to move on to the newer and better body and clothing and armors..just my opinion.
myrmaad
Maybe, if you're not careful, but I mix and match all the time. Here's an Exnem Leather Jacket mixed with a SpeedBuster custom HGEC bottom: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c117/SeaBlossom/otherstuff/Blivscreen78.jpg I also have a different Speedbuster bottom mixed with an old Bab to Exnem conversion armor top, plus Growlf boots: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c117/SeaBlossom/otherstuff/BlivScreen61AM20.jpg This mix of Bab to Exnem Blood Widow top plus Exnem pants from the Apachii Goddess store: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c117/SeaBlossom/otherstuff/BlivScreen102101105-03PM07.jpg Plus, I don't give a damn about the changes in breast size when switching armor and clothes. Anyone with actual real breasts can tell you that they tend to change sizes -- quite a bit over time, and subtly even during the month. I should know. Lardtree3
Great, thanks for the info guys! I've been thinking about getting rid of some of the older Exnem bodies anyways since all they do is look pretty on the mannequins in the Armory Lab. While i'm at it, are there any other House mods that have a display like room similar to Armory LAb mod (I do love the alchemy sorting and book stacking in that thing though, makes being a pack rat much easier). If you've obtained and installed the latest version of OBSE, you should look into Thumpthing's current project: Set Body and Set Body Self Like Myrmaad, I'm used to mix-and-match, but this makes things a whole lot easier. The whole EC/HGEC lineup of female bodies (and Robert's male types, too) are supported, with a few remarkable additions - Growlf's and SPB's. Additional replacers such as BAB are slated for inclusion. I've tested it through for a while now, and it's working nicely for my characters and companions. Lardtree3
That does indeed sound interesting. For a little clarification though, are any changes you make to NPCs permanent? For example, I'm weird and I don't always take the armor from an NPC that was added as an armor mod like the typical "this special armor blah blah blah NPC must be killed to get it". I just add the NPC in and then use the CS to make them re spawn and turn them into more boss-like characters. Occasionally if I like the armor I will add it to my gallery, but I know they will re spawn with a new set. So yeah, my original question, are the changes made to NPCs permanent? The module uses tokens, so changes are supposed to last for as long as you don't switch to a different body replacer. Moreover: Titipoko mentioned this beforehand, armors and outfits based upon/incorporating aspects of a certain body mesh won't adapt automagically (easy example: putting Ivy Armor, H-cup version, on a less curvaceous body, will still lend a larger-looking bust in the process). The MOD aims to increase diversity and enable access to a much larger selection of clothes. I haven't fiddled with respawning, though.
