gdarknight
Nice! What are you parts are you going to use a glow map on? I'm going to try and put some extra reflection on the blades and ornate design work. (glow maps don't actually glow; they are really high-light maps for metal and glass)

gdarknight
Okay, take a look at this: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...eflective_Metal. That's true for standard weapons and armor w/o glow maps. The deadric armor is a prime example of good glow maps. The sheen is there regardless of the Oblivion version because it's using special highlight images that can be controlled by the specular settings in the nif. "Highlight" controls in the nif are meant for illumination effects like spells and fires that show up even in total darkness. The tutorial is an awesome technique to use if you don't want to go thru the trouble of making glow maps, but I'd rather make this happen w/o relying on Oblivion versions and settings. ###################################################################### I correct myself....glow maps serve 2 purposes: Using the regular "APPLY_MODULATE" setting they can control specular highlighting; using the "APPLY_HIGHLIGHT" mode, they control areas that glow in total darkness. alex2avs
Updated pics of the swords. I still need to do the glow maps, but I think these will work. Wow ! They look amazing ;). Good luck with the glow maps ;). Last time when I did one in Nifskope the sword became neon green (the texture was a green one already ).

UnholyShadow
I wanna see his revolver shotgun :D On a partially unrelated note, it was ridiculous how the gun he was using to shoot the tooth fairies towards the start of the movie had tons of recoil, while the revolver shotgun had absolutely none. I'm going to try animating the spear, but I still need to learn how to animate just part of a mesh to stretch it.
Sin911
I'm going to try animating the spear, but I still need to learn how to animate just part of a mesh to stretch it.I hope you can manage it, since I think that would look incredible in the game. Even if animating it doesn't work the way you want, thanks for the great textures :D
