Lunytic Posted April 26, 2013 Share Posted April 26, 2013 (edited) Problem - Start a new game, I'm riding mid-mesh sort of looking out of the torso of the wagon driver on the wagon to Helgen. Audio is fine. However upon reaching Helgen the gate doesn't open and all kinds of problematic rag-doll effects occur. So I can't actually enter Helgen on the wagon to get to the character creation sequence. Any thoughts? 1. Ran BOSS, no errors.2. SKSE up to date3. I've deleted all the .ini files I could find and re-built them through detecting graphics. StayFrosty05 Posted April 26, 2013 Share Posted April 26, 2013 I know this sounds like a dumb question but have you run the FNIS Generate?....Try running it....Upon reading your problem, the first thing I looked for in your list is as to whether you had FNIS....I had a similar incident happen to my game some time back and it was as simple as I had forgotten to run the FNIS Generate. bben46 Posted July 20, 2014 Share Posted July 20, 2014 You can spend several hours trying to figure out just which mod is causing problems - or save a lot of time and just not use mods until after you complete the Helgen sequence - it is a tutorial/intro and is heavily scripted - any mod with a conflicting script can cause strange things to happen. These intro scripts end when you exit the cave. Then you should make a permanent save without mods before piling on the mods. What were you going to do with those super weapons and exceptional abilities in the intro anyway? Kill Alduin? Fight the legion and escape? :rolleyes: Anything you do that is not a part of that intro script will cause either a crash or something strange to happen. You really can not do anything except follow the script until it finishes. If you try to do anything else, the script waits until you do what it wants you to - or it crashes. A few mods that change apperance without scripts will not usually cause a problem ( cosmetic type changes, intended to make things look better) If you insist on piling on a bunch of scripted mods to start the game - just use one of the alternate start mods to avoid the intro completely. :thumbsup: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
