Gorgopis
Hello Experts, We are confused about some off-camera things that happen in the CK when Vortex deploys personal custom mods. 1) In the CK, we finished a custom mod, let's call it Nadia.esp. The creation date of our Nadia.esp in our SR Data folder showed 3/23/21. 2) We copied that new Nadia.esp to our desktop Nadia.esp staging file so as to get ready to publish it to the Nexus. 3) Then, wait! WE thought. Let's retest the mod, to be safe, and so we enabled the mod via deployment in Vortex. 4) Curious, we checked the Nadia.esp in our Data folder which had been altered to show a creation date of 2/21/2000. We assumed that Vortex alters creation-dates because it needs a method to manage and make consistent links? 5) Will this Vortex behavior affect our 3/23/21 Nadia.esp version, if we proceed to try and publish it? 6) We also had the following experience: We created a custom NPC mod in the CK, with one Vortex profile enabled. We made custom texture, mesh, and script files, and pathways. 7) Unthinkingly, we enabled a second profile, a few days later, and then loaded the CK again, to continue working on our custom NPC, only to find that our custom texture/mesh pathways had been altered back to Skyrim's base files/archives. We had not seen discussion on this, though it may be out there. Please advise! We also posted this on the Vortex Forum.
