Aranas23
I've just recently started getting into modeling and texturing for Skyrim. My last experience with this venture was with Fallout and New Vegas, but Skyrim seems a little more complex than what I'm use to. I'm breaking myself in gently by just simply editing the scale, positions, and combining two meshes together to make one... Aaaaand I crashed my game!I'm use to simply transforming or adding meshes together and applying them, but whenever I go in-game, I get a crash whenever I equip the new mesh. I've experimented with them, and either the meshes don't appear, or the game crashes. I'm clearly missing something, but whenever I try to google for an answer, or a tutorial, I get old, very dated videos and forum tutorials. Can anyone let me know what I'm missing, or know of any Skyrim specific Nifskope tutorials I can use to brush up on? jackowonderful
i don't think it matters if they're dated. it probably hasn't changed.
Aranas23
Some new steps have definitely been added between Oblivion and Skyrim. For one, I had to install a new add-on just to use Nifskope with Skyrim meshes. Edited April 30, 2013 by Aranas23
Aranas23
I really don't understand why the modified mesh would be crashing my game whenever I equip it to my PC.
