i want to lighten up the various safehouses across the Mojave.

Is there any command to place a light source into a safehouse, for example, the Novac room?

What are the codes for object with light sources? which is the most powerful?

I dont know modding, just enough to console command into the game, so I would really like, please, something simple. If you say 'download the geck and find out yourself', consider that suggestion automatic invalid and doesnt worth the time you post.

Thaaaaank you~

The "PlaceAtMe" command will do what you want, but, obviously, it will only place things where you, or any other valid reference (for example, companions) is standing. As for light sources, I'm afraid, I can't really help you a great deal! You can try looking around on the Wiki, but I think they've only listed miscellaneous objects. Still, I could be wrong. Best of luck to you! :)

I am not an expert but I don't think a console command will do what you want. The geck will. Or there are lighting mods and flashlight mods.

Yep, that's probably the best way to do it, without using the GECK. In the console, type:

player.PlaceAtMe 8F5D4

This will add a light source, with medium radius and luminosity, where your character stands. You may need to spawn several of those, and spread them at different spots across the room, to get the result you want. Be sure to make a backup save - once placed, you will not be able to remove them.

for the record, I check wikia first. A few that looks promising is not.

placeatme can move the container. I try it on a dresser in jacobstown lodge.

So, I know it has been 5 years now, but I was looking for info for moving stuff around in game using console commands (I had gold bricks, which you can't pick up using 'z').

For those of you who don't know:

You can use "getpos x" "getpos y" and "getpos z".

It should then show something like "GetPos: X >> 2530.48".

Then you use "setpos <x, y, or z> <value>" to move it. I think you HAVE to add the decimal point and numbers after it.

Side note: you can also rotate objects using "setangle <x, y, or z> <value>", which will set it's angle, not rotate it by that amount.
