websoul
you use it for creating textures and skins for 3d models. there is a photoshop plugin that lets you export to a file used by morrowind, i dont know the exact name of the file or the format it exports to.maybe someone else can post that
topiz
So with photoshop i could make a green sword if i wanted to? Then load it up in TES construction edit the stats...then place it in the game? Are textures like meshes???
Geonox
nooo you have to make the texture first, then download a program called .nif texturer, which I strongly suggest for retexturing jobs instead of using 3D max. Then change the textures save it as a new nif file. Put the mesh in the mesh folder and the texture in the texture folder and then import the mesh in Tesc.Btw textures are not like meshes, youre new to this modding thing right?A texture is a picture which you put over the mesh to make it more interresting and give it more details. Every mesh has got a texture. A mesh is the 3D model.

Peregrine
there is a photoshop plugin that lets you export to a file used by morrowind, i dont know the exact name of the file or the format it exports to. You're thinking of the .dds conversion plugin found on the official site. But you don't need it, since Morrowind can use standart .tga files just fine.
