Post replaced with html

Occasionally when I edit a post the normal text gets replaced with html code. What might cause this, and how should I prevent it?

 

For example, one of my posts that looks like this:

In response to post #7949134. #7949442 is also a reply to the same post.

 

Thank you. I doubt the problem has anything to do with this specific mod or those NPCs, so I would not concern yourself with this. Skyrim is so fragile it's easy to break from unrelated things. Maybe someone who encounters a similar problem later might find my test results below helpful.

ended up like this:

Glitch in the forum system - when editing a post, use the "full editor" setting instead of the "quick edit" version that initially appears, that should prevent it happening in future until we have the forums updated to eliminate the issue.
