Help with Candlelight spell

I don't know what I did, but I lost my candlelight. The action works but no light emits. Weird thing is that Staff of Mage light and Scroll of Candlelight work fine, so I'm guessing the meshes and textures are O.K., I use Diethardt's Rune texture, just can't figure out how to pin point the problem. It happened when I installed Candlelight Overhaul mod, but the author is not responding. Does anyone know what exactly makes the light emit from the candlelight spell?

I have my own Multi-cast Candlelght spell, based on a very, very old version, but it will tak me a while to check in the CK.

 

Maybe you should remove the mod, delete all its elements and verify your files? If you have cleaned any Masters with TESVdit, keep them in a safe place and copy them back in later.

 

When you refer to other mods, you should really put a link to the mod. i have no idea what Candlelight Overhaul is or does.

Candlelight Overhaul is an SSE Mod.

 

You should also say which version of Skyrim you are using. There is no Candlelight Overhaul mod for SLE.

Thanks, I'll do that next time :smile: I'm using Skyrim Special Edition. I believe I might have deleted a mesh lightspellactorfx.nif that was in Data/Meshes/magic/ folder. So I extracted the original mesh file from Data/Skyrim - Meshes1.bsa and replaced it. It still didn't work. Weird that every other light spell works, like Magelight. :turned:

Actually, I think my mod is a multi-cast Magelight. I really needed some sleep!
