Georgiegril
There are a bunch of processes/services that could be causing the problem, not just your anti-virus--that was simply a common example. If that is the only change you made, it is really too soon to rule out competing processes/services as the culprit. You need to learn how to manually disable processes (and which) or try a program like Gamebooster (Like Gboost or Gamefire)--btw I am not promoting any of these in particular since I dont use them, but Gamebooster seems the most popular around here. My experience is that gamebooster uses as much RAM as to claims to save, but it would stop autorun/scheduled programs, which is very likely what you are seeing. Have you looked at your RAM/VRAM usage? Temperatures? I would not dismiss the possibility of a mod conflict, but if the problem is a s specific time interval, as you describe, it seems very unlikely unless you have a mod that kicks in at a specific time. EDIT: If you are not using BOSS to optimize load order, the chance of it being mod-related jumps up significantly.--and even if this problem isn't load-order related, you are certain to run into them soon, without BOSS, unless you are very knowledgeable about mods. You would need BOSS before Wrye Bash, if you need it at all.
