Flares and better falling

I would like a simple flare with a flame on the tip that can be thrown while lit. Something to illuminate the way. My graphics are set up so that at night time during overcast, it's nearly impossible to see while under the canopy of a dense forest. If I had flares, I could throw one to see what that creepy sound was, or to identify a large scary shadowy figure up ahead. For dungeon exploring, I could throw one down a dark tunnel to scare off the spiders and undead and see what I'm about to walk into. It doesn't even have to really scare enemies or anything, I just want to be able to see without having to turn on stupid ugly ambient light. Also don't suggest spells or dropping torches. I recently played tomb raider 1 and it reminded me of how useful throwing flares can be. I think there are problems with making equip-able lights so they don't have to light up until you throw, unless its easy to figure out.

Secondly, if you've ever played mirrors edge or any game that has a good falling animation, you'll agree that Skyrim needs work in this area. I would like a first person animation of hands waving slightly when your fall is greater than X feet. Also a sound effect of screaming for male and female if the fall is greater than Y feet. I'm about to implement a script that protects you from fall damage a little bit, if you're not holding anything (weapons, torch) and you crouch right as you land so it would be cool to add visual and audible aspects as well.

If you're reading this and rolling your eyes thinking, 'why doesn't this guy just make it', well the truth is I'm scared of the CK. Every mod I've made (many, many) has had problems or the CK crashes while saving, it's become not worth it to me because I'm trying to run it on a computer that can barely handle it.
