Help! Can't shout!

I can't shout. I can use powers with the Z key, but unrelenting force won't work, so I can't shout to the greybeards and my game won't progress. Anyone knows why? Yes, I know I'm using a mod that alters shouting, but I've tried it without the mod in question and it just won't work. Also, I did a script cleansing prior to defeating the first dragon, as the game crashed uncontrollably. If anyone know what's happening and how to fix it, I'd appreciate the help.

I have the same problem I can use powers with the Z key but I can't use any shout's at all all that happens is that my charter says the first word in lets say :unrelenting force all I hear is "fus" and nothing happens at all I can spam press the z key and all that happens is that I hear "fus" no effect or any thing i'm get frustrated. I'm not sure if it has any thing to do with any mods I have installed as I'm sure it worked before and i installed them with NMM and i have tried to deactivate those mods whit no luck the mods I have recently downloaded are Pretty Female Idles by Dualsun and Pretty_Combat_Idles by Dualsun. I have no idea if it was ansmall update that steam have downloaded or anything I have no idea why my shouts won't work any more. Please give us some help

I would try to shout and my character would just turn to face the direction my reticle was pointed (3rd person mode) and couldn't put a finger on it as nothing I had should have affected the shouts. Then I remembered the few updates I did, only one affected actions.

 

The problem seems to be AP Skyrim.esm's update. I disabled this and am able to shout again without any problem.

yeah now that you mention the AP I remember that I had a similar problem with AP before when updating it I will report back if it fixes for me. Thanks in advance.

yes disable AP fixed it for me guess I have to wait for a fix that fixes the shout problem.

LOL.. even though this is super old. I had to comment. Code writers/modders drive me absolutely mad when they do a poor job explaining their steps as if they expect everybody to be as well, which is very far from the case for most of us.
