Star Wars Joins In

This mod could be used to make endless gameplay, new weapons and armour and perhaps quests, after the end of the game the player wakes up in a bacta tank (missing all belongings), then passes out (like how the game changed ages at the beginning) and wakes up again but this time the lone wanderer (now a great hero) hears talking from Elder Lyons to a Rebel General questioning about how they got here and who else came. The general tells him that they were all in great danger, the Empire came and they saved the commander that died in project purity (when the player goes with the scientists and the Enclave appear then he "dies" of radiation) and he is the only reason the Enclave is still around (he's now president), and about the Rebels cause. On the way out of the BoS base you get a radio signal that says for you to go to the remains of the Enclave base (in a puzzle kind of way, not a hard puzzle: "Go to the place where the Eagle started it's last flight", last flight meaning when the Old Enclave, before the Empire stepped in and recreated them, started to fall) when the player arrives you are greeted by someone who gives you the choice. Turn your back on the BoS and Rebelion by killing a Rebel General (They are in the Citadel) or just shoot the guy in the face after he's done talking to you. Faction quests can be as simple as get 5 enclave or tesla power armour helmets and 5 stormtrooper helms to bring the saber of the new sith in command. Weapons added would be almost all weapons from the Star wars universe including light sabers (I know there are already mods but this is adding npc's with "force" (more god like) abilities including high health, regeneration of that health, increased damage resistance and high SPECIAL skills to make them seem like they have the force. New patrols for each BoS and Enclave which includes their new friends and the reason why the vehicles are missing is mostly for balance but also with the Fall of the Empire they lack the funds to bring Vehicles and the Rebel's just didn't bring them. But any way that's my idea to effectivly create endless game play while still keeping it FO3 (not a total conversion just a slight one).

pyro, 5.56 rounds would only be effective if they impacted the vulnerable joints in the armour, mark V stormtrooper armour, the kind seen in the original trilogy, are about on par with the T51b armour in terms of overall protection, just lighter and affording allot more mobility, an E-11 should do somewhere around 25-50 damage per shot, that combined with the full auto and accuracy (much less spread than the assault rifles or smg) would make it about on par with the firelance.

killerx243 as for transmissions, the empire don't use radio, they use hyperwave transceivers and so forth, and can communicate in real time over tens of thousands of lightyears through a hand held device as seen in Revenge of the sith. if the rip is large enough for a vessel like say an acclamator or even a corvette then they would be able to send all their heaviest equipment through as well as hundreds of thousands to millions of troops through, not all at once obviously, acclamators can carry around 16 thousand troops as well as the heaviest ground vehicles in the empire.

even during the late galactic civil war mobilizing several million stormtroopers wouldn't be that huge of an undertaking

not saying you shouldn't make this, not like I have any say in the matter anyhow, just saying that this scenario is more based on gameplay and balance than authenticity to either the timeline (new sith? Vader was the last of em, none of this Darth krayt nonsense) or the scale and power of the empire, even during it's weakest,

admittedly this is the only way to do a crossover while maintaining balance, you absolutely HAVE to fudge the timeline at least a little in order to get any crossover with star wars to even remotely work, and with the sheer difference in scale and power well, you'll prolly have to fudge that a bit too, at the very least you should have Stormtroopers make Enclave Tesla troopers to look like mole rats.

A cross-over would not be that hard.

Star Wars was "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away" which means if anything Star Wars-related is to be placed here, it would have to be something along the lines of a rip in time and space...such as a star imploding close to where Rebels and the Empire was doing battle and just have a small contingent "transported" to our space and time...possibly to some time in our recent past and trapped in a cave. If recent past, the cave would be a tomb of dead bodies and equipment. If current, then you'd have a few NPCs from each side. ;)

crossover isn't hard in terms of getting them together, hard part is keeping it balanced, even a small contingent of troops would make short work of the wasteland, also depending on your definition of "small contingent" for the empire is anywhere from tens of thousands to tens of millions or even more, remember there are a million, billion troops that the empire can dish out, and a single star destroyer can do things to a planet that would make the great war look like a cherry bomb prank.

as for a rip in space/time it's called a wormhole, and through hyperspace tunneling the empire could easily enlarge it and stabilize it, allowing them to send thousands of ships and millions of troops without putting a dent in their overall military.

besides, the only reason they could possibly want earth in the state it's in would be as a foothold, and they could just as easily go for mars instead (be even less effort) but realistically speaking, crossing star wars over with most sci-fi (with the exception of Doctor who and a select few others) is so one sided that the star wars factions are basically god/cheat factions.

if the empire is dealing with the rebellion in any large capacity they would likely not bother exploring a new galaxy and risk running into something worse, while it may be tempting to try and escape through the wormhole, the fact that they would have no knowledge of what's on the other side would make such an expedition potentially suicidal.

in other words, having a balanced crossover with fallout and following the source material is impossible, any civilization that considers a nuclear weapon to be a big deal is cannon fodder for the empire.

Wormhole are not about time travel. Wormhole theory deal with folding space so that two distant areas intersect allowing for instant travel. Not going forward and backward through time. The method or reason for said space/time travel is not important and does not need to be explained as if somebody knew what happened.

I also do not think trying to stick strictly to lore is a good or fun idea. The point of mods is to have fun...not bring a Star Destroyer to decimate Earth and then show the ending credits.

The idea of lightsabers is really cool but this game engine is not going to let you slice off body parts where you swing your saber and don't even get me started on how a lightsaber can even actually exist. ;)

Some of the most fun movies and games do not try to explain away the details of why and simply accept things the way they are and simply rolls with it for the fun factor. This is Sci-Fi.

Well then I'm going to try to eliminate most lore and well if you don't like it just accept it and play it and another thing Stormtroopers are no match for a normal human (empisize normal), a human thinks for themselves, takes risks, will go running into a fight if pushed, and knows that as an idividual their is no one exactly like them that could just replace them if they disapeared (might not fully work against an army of clones but most massed produced robots would crumble by creating a big logical error within), this is a Long Long time past Galatic Civil war (way past where lore is concerned). So the worm hole opens due to a what was thought to be a technicological breakthrough from the Empire (they have seized power... again, but this is near the end of the new civil war (history repeates itself)), they thought they fixed any problems with their weapons and anything else they made using wormhole tech. (the idea was to make personal wormhole generaters for use on the battle field to go from one place to another instantly and then the worm hole closed after them and to shoot a rebel with a wormhole gun and it sends the rebel to a predefined location, for eneimes its space, or the center of a star where they will die, and then the worm hole disapears. Well the rebels start a raid on they base (the base is a space station/craft, not huge though the empire gave up on Death Stars, and to retailiate the attack an idiot (a Stromtrooper who thought for himself, like the rough commando clone troopers (they still happen)) fired the stations main worm hole gun (to put planets into suns) which malfunctioned scrambling the coordinates and hits a rebel ship creating a worm hole just big enough to send troop transports, conveinently just a few parsecs away from the Empires main base of Operations, the Stormtrooper fires again but misses and the bolt go on until it hits a ship a few parsecs from the rebels base (this is happening while the player is playing thus why they aren't there at the begining) both holes where created stable (the Empire didn't completly mess up), both factions recived comunications from Earth (more like stole the convertsation), thus why they went there, the Empire came first and the BoS was doing its best to hold them (the Empire attacked the BoS and sided with the Enclave making them survive... no one knows why) then the rebels come and well the rest is the first post (I am not writing all that again) and also a way lightsabers can cut off limbs is the same way the Deathclaw does.

if you think the empire is bad. . .maybe you've never heard of a little institution called the imperium of man. . .would love to see a bunch of storm troopers come rolling in on dewbacks or some-such nad thinking they're all that then seeing a squad of space marines decimate an entire batallion. . .ooh im sorry that little fantasy had nothing to do with this topic. . .

while it's true that space marines are superior to stormtroopers, a squad of marines could NOT decimate an entire batalion of stormies, Stormies are stormtroopers are pretty much kasrkin with pulse rifles (those E-11s are on par with pulse rifles ), the main advantage the Marines have is the fact that they are genetically engineered, aside from that however.

A well trained marine squad could theoretically take out half a platoon of Stormtroopers tops, they would take casualties however,

Stormtroopers are in fact Superior to regular human soldiers, why do you think the best rebel soldiers were ex-stormtroopers? Stormtroopers are NOT all clones, they are indoctrinated to know no fear, they won't retreat for any reason other than tactical ones, they won't panic, hesitate or rush themselves. they have superior training (in some cases nearly 10 straight years of it) also, the comradery and brotherhood of the clones is considered an advantage morale wise, not a disadvantage.

Stormtroopers are only inferior to

elite Jedi

Genetically engineered super soldiers

veteran soldiers (such as Han Solo and Kyle Katarn)

century old warrior race members (such as Chewbacca)

and even among these Stormtroopers are a considerable threat, the only reason why they didn't kill Han, Luke, Leia, Chewie and in the case of Cloud city Lando, was because they had specific orders NOT to.

in any case, yeah, having it be not too lore friendly to star wars is your best bet, i'll still prolly play it, though i'm more looking forward to making my own TC of sorts ;)
