thebeast505
Yeah ill be keeping apachiiskyhair active all the time. And it seems much easier then what was described in the tut. I had really no idea what to do even after reading it. How does taking a picture of your npc recreate the hair style in the CK?It would be much easier just to keep apachiiskyhair active. Thank you! thebeast505
Just found this, seems exactly what I needed http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/902821-custom-hair-custom-race-custom-npc-and-the-ck/?p=7982866&do=findComment&comment=7982866
IsharaMeradin
You read the whole thing... I had linked the subsection regarding using a regular ESP plugin as a parent mod to a plugin you are making. I linked it in case the mod whose assets you wanted to use was an ESP rather than an ESM. You have since stated that you are using assets from an ESM therefore you can disregard that. As for the rest of the tutorial page it was in regards to making a mannequin that looks like your player character. The reason for the picture was to get the hair color because hair color does not get imported from the saved NPC file unless that exact color form is loaded in the CK. It was a specific tutorial. While some aspects could be used for other types of NPCs as a whole it is not meant for anything beyond its scope which is a player based mannequin and a preset to save the hassle of reconfiguring your character's face every time you restart. Reading it is fine but do note that only the specific subsection (which was linked) was the only aspect that was to be considered relevent to the discussion. thebeast505
Ok I just read it again. So the whole point was to make the ESP (apachiiskyhair, eyes of beauty) in my case, both into parent files or esm. This would make my npc not dependent on the mods apachiiskyhair? Edit 1"How to make an esp plugin that is dependent upon another esp plugin. "That's the title of your tut. Why would making my mod dependent upon another be good? Wouldn't that be the same as just loading them all up in the CK and making my npc there? Sorry for asking so much but I just don't get what I'm trying to do here is this supposed to be a shortcut or somthing? Edit 2 After reading through it again I have come to believe thatA- I cannot load skyrim.esm AND apachiiskyhair since it is a esp and the CK only allows one master file this I will not be able to use the hair from the mod without going through your tut to make it a masterfull and use it too use in my mod. rhowington
Simply add this line to the bottom of the General section in your SkyrimEditor.ini found under your skyrim folder not data "bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1" without the quotes. This will allow you to load skyrim.esm and apachii.esm at the same time.
