Crashing on launch

So about an hour ago Fallout 3 decided it wanted to kill itself. It was working fine earlier. The only mods i've installed since then are iHud and Impervious power armor. I've double checked my load order and disabled everything except for Fallout3.esm, i've tried launching through steam too, but my game just crashes after the 'please stand by' part. I'm pretty stumped, any help would be appreciated.

I'm having the same problem, but I haven't even downloaded any mods yet. I installed F3 yesterday and got some mods but it kept crashing so I deleted everything and started over today while watching Gopher's videos and I pasted FOSE into the folder, went to launch and it crashes instantly. I tried launching through Steam and it crashes instantly. Just says Fallout 3 has stopped working. Hopefully someone knows of a fix for either of us.

I just posted earlier about the same problem. I wonder what's causing it.

You guys may not want to try this since you have a lot of mods already installed but it worked for me (SO FAR). I just uninstalled the game and deleted the entire Fallout folder under Users>My Documents>My Games so that it would make a whole new ini file. YOu may be able to just delete the .ini file and start the game up. But I'm not sure so don't try it then get mad at me.

 

But I did that, and now I can actually get to the game menu. I'm gonna try to install some mods now and see if it still works. Good luck guys.
