But the issue is that I want to keep my mods. Which at this point might not be a viable option :( I also don't really wanna have to start a new game. I keep spending a respectable amount of time on a character, and then the saves dont work after a while. It's really frustrating.

You also want to have a stable gaming experience, so you'll have to decide which must take priority above all others...

 

I can tell you that at this point, starting a new game may be inevitable. CTD while trying to load a save game is bad news. It typically means the 'save game' is corrupted in some way (different from the other common save game problem, the 'indefinite loading screen', which is a separate matter). If this is continuously happening to all of your saves (is it?), then it would seem to indicate that there is at least one mod in your set up that is responsible for causing damage to your save game. The best approach to address this is to 1) find out which mod or mods are the culprits, so you can remove it or them, and 2) start a new game, in order to ensure a (more) stable gaming experience.

 

I assume that you make a new save every time you save the game (rather then, say, continually save over the same save slot, which is a recipe for save game corruption).

I'm having this same problem. Except I reinstalled Skyrim entirely and reinstalled mods. And stripped mods. And went down to almost the bare minimum.

And still, crashes. It's getting to be pretty f***ing infuriating.

 

I've started 3 new games. About two hours into each play session, I start crashing on save game loading. Over and over and over. It will let me in eventually though.

seems that i'm not the only one who have this situation.

I've played for at least 20 -24 hours and now when I want to enter in a house in wintherun the game crash on the screen load.. I've disabled all the mods i've tried to use a before save but i've still the same problem..

Anybody have an idea?

Ho yeah, the game is on steam and up to date.
