Lorrell
Hi everybody, new poster here, great site. I guess it's not really technically a technical problem, but I figured this would be the best place to post this. If it's not, please let me know. Ok, so I have an HPdv9225us with a GeForce GO7600 w/256 dedicated, 2 GB Ram, and an AMD T-60 dual core. I've run other games really well on this machine, like Bioshock, Call of Duty, and they ran on pretty decent settings. The problem I'm having with Fallout 3 is the pop in. I'll be running along the wasteland and all of a sudden, enemies just pop up. Like a pack of dogs, or a Raider that I should have been able to see some time before approaching within 10 feet of them and them getting off a few cheap shots at me before I can react, (see them). One time, I spotted a Raider and ran towards him and he disappeared, then reappeared much closer! I'm also seeing this with buildings, where the doors are not there, so I can see right through them, but once I advance closer, the door pops in as it should be. Does anybody know of some settings I can tweak to correct this? Do I need to lower resolution or some other setting? I've been running it at the default (for my machine) 1440x900. I've just had the game find the default settings for everything else, which works great, aside from this pop in issue. Any help is appreciated. Thanks much all! -Lorrell
Skotte
In-game how are your settings>display fade set at? sounds like they may be on the near side namely actors & objects. And Welcome to the Nexus
Lorrell
That's it, alright! Thanks for the answer, I actually had no idea that such options existed within the game. Good to know! Thanks again. -Lorrell
