Qu0th
I have been trying to track down what part of the game's code handles ingestible effects. This is because I would like to make a mod that prevents ingestible effects from overwriting each other. For example, should you take Psycho then Psycho Buff, Psycho loses its 25% DMG effect and only has +25 DMG Res while Psycho Buff's effects are unchanged. The same thing happens when you drink 2 types of alcohol that share a common effect (e.g., beer and bobrov's best moonshine; the first one you drink overwrites the other one's +1 CHR effect). I've been using FO4Edit to poke around and to try to find how fallout 4 handles cumulative effects with no success. Any help in figuring this out/helping me to make my mod would greatly appreciated! I'm new to this forum so I apologize in advance for any posting mistakes whether formal or informal
GrimGrim31
Why not just use Creation Kit to look at how the effects are applied?
Qu0th
I don't use Creation Kit that because I'm new to modding and I simply don't know how to use Creation Kit. However, I'm trying to learn how to use creation kit, and it seems like I'll need to if I want to create this mod. For the second part of your question, I don't know where to look to see how the effects are applied, that's why I'm posting on the forums. Do you know where to look?
