Yet another newbie needs help with mods (sorry in advance)

So, as the title says, my game is sorta screwed up at the moment, if I attempt to play on my main character it will roll a die and choose between a CTD, freeze, non-response or slow crash (one with a microsoft 's#*! went south' bar). Oddly it only happens on my main, not when i try to load another one or start a new game. I could live with ignoring her forever but at level 69 (heh, sorry...) I'd rather avoid burying this many hours. I have used BOSS to atttempt to check and fix and it finds nothing really wrong except some confusion with unrecognized plugins and a couple with optional body mod support that merely suggests I be careful not to activate both (which I am), so I would greatly appreciate so assistance with this quandry.

delete the data folder then go to steam >skyrim >properties verify game cache

I would not recommend the above advice. If you follow this you will delete all of your mods and more.

You do need to manually place the mods that BOSS does not recognize. I suggest going back to the mod pages and see what the author recommends. If there is no info on placement, try putting similar mods together.

 

Also, could you please post your computer specs (CPU, RAM, GPU VRAM, driver version) and game specs (Which patch, graphics setting, any cahnges you have made to your .ini files.)

I'm running default medium graphics settings on an HP Pavilion dv7 laptop (Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM, 8GB, NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M, 2GB[i think], and im not sure what you mean by driver version but I assume its DirectX which is 9), the only .ini change was to enable mods, i am on 1.9.32.0.8.

and now that i think of it my Nexus Mod Manager has been acting...odd...recently, it tries to update then gets halfway and stops for eternity until i kill it with task manager, I'm currently checking all mods for load order suggestions to see if there are conflicts. I briefly toyed with FNIS and AP (separately) so one of those could have broken it if no one can find a culprit.

Well somehow it fixed itself with an autosave and now it works so I guess I'll just sacrifice to Odin when I want to play and hope for the best.
