The doors of modding have opened...now what?

Now, first of all, I own Fallout 3 for the PS3. So no, no modding there. However, I got a friend's PC copy because he couldn't seem to run it, and now I kinda manipulated him into trading it for one of my other games. ^^

Evil, but with a reason.

The DLCs and modding capabilities are just too good to pass up.

Now the thing is, I'm wondering if there any "must-have" mods for Fallout 3? Like, people who mod their Oblivion game, MUST HAVE FCOM, or at least parts of it (OOO etc.).

Are there any mods that kinda "fit" that description? Are there any mods already that deserve the "must-have"-status?

Let me know what I should definitely be getting! :D

A pity that I have fallout for my PS3, I suppose. Oh well, I've got my hands full with PC games, regardless. Fallout is such a nice game to play sprawled out on my bed in front of my newly purchased 32'' Samsung HD.

wtb bigger computer monitor... 2x 24"s too small /cry

The Weapons Kits and Fallout Classic Weapons mods are keepers.

My plan is to beat fallout once through, doing everything possible in the game, then ill revisit it again when all the dlc's are out and there are a ton of in depth mods and just mod the crap out of it, essentially making it almost a whole new game, which is why fallout was a good investment for me, 1 its a very long game if you forget about the storyline and just explore the land and 2. i never play a game twice so having the ability to mod it out and come back to almost a new game is great

I hope you dont use the prima guide thats the best way to do it heck it told me 1.5 weeks to beat the game full time and another 2 weeks to beat it 3 more time even faster and diffently to find every little thing with out the prima guide but when i got the guide i was like wow i can do that oh thats cool darn i could of done that.

i like this game you can mod like theres no end in sight

In a few months, I'll probably forget all about Fallout 3. I will however, keep it on the hard drive, because chances are someone's going to release an incredible mod and I will want to play it.

I had the same thing with Oblivion. I was totally hooked, finished it, got bored, left it aside, and came back when I discovered the HEAPS of awesome user-made content.

This is exactly why I want Fallout 3 for PC. Both Fallout and Oblivion, are what you could call "infinite games"; as long as there is a community releasing mods, people will always go back to these games, because there is so much new content to be added. :D
