Geonox
Never heared of that plugin, I just use photshop and I don't need any plugins to make the textures or use them/exporting them in 3d max... ^_^

_it_
yups, or download g max. Free and legal 3d max version. But it doens't allows you to export models as nif files but can they be opened by 3dsmax and resaved as .nif files ?
Peregrine
Yes and no. They can't be opened directly, but if you export with the quake3 plugin for gmax, then convert through a couple more formats, you can get it to import. But it isn't a perfect conversion, so things end up looking distorted a bit.
_it_
where can i get that plug in ? is it for free or do i need to pay for it
BlackSlayer
The free version of the Plug-in is completly free but not completly legal so I will not discuss about it. P.S: I am so mad at the fact that 3sdMAX 6 is not compatible with a .nif import/export plug-in. I hope 3dsMAX 7 is.
