mbruno
I was trying to reinstall Oblivion just now, since I had to do a system restore on my computer a while back, but for some reason my computer is seeing the disk as a backup even though it's a retail copy I bought at GameStop. Any ideas? Edited May 12, 2013 by mbruno
Hickory
Are you sure you're using the *original* disc, and not a backup copy? Oblivion will check the disc on installation (SecureROM) and refuse to install from a copy. It *will* allow a copy to be used as a 'gameplay' disc. mbruno
Yes, I'm sure I'm using an *original* disk, as a I said I bought it from GameStop and it was brand new as GameStop doesn't sell used PC games. I was able to install with no problem when I originally installed back before I had to system restore my computer.
