janisk31
I purchased premium for a month two days ago to be able to make use of my full download speed (100 mbit/s, roughly 12 mb/s), but I am not even reaching the "free" download limit of 2 mb/s. For small amounts of time, it will go up to reach the 12 mb/s, but most of the time I am stuck below 100 kbit/s, sometimes it does not even download at all. I am really thinking about asking for a refund right now, because I am not willing to pay ~5€ for not getting anything in return for it. I tried out different download servers. CDN standard, all Europe servers. Doesn't matter, Sometimes I reach 12 mb/s, but most of the times I am below 100 kbit/s. And it is not my internet connection, when I do a speedtest it is completely fine. It's really tedious to try to download many files and then wait several minutes for every small file that is not even 100 mb big. Should rather be a thing of seconds! In general, the nexus site seems rather slow. Sometimes it takes me several seconds or even close to a minute to open a mod page and then again the same time to open the "files" tab. Pickysaurus
If you download manually is it still slow? Your speeds all look fine (unless you didn't delete the placeholder values?). Have you tried restarting Vortex and/or your PC?
janisk31
If I download manually it is still slow most of the times. I restarted both Vortex and my PC several times. I observed the reported behavior over the course of now 3 days. Constantly switching the download server and restarting vortex right after that somehow seems to circumvent the problem, but of course is really annoying if you want to download lots of files. And as I said, it seems that the nexus homepage loads very, very slowly, too.
Pickysaurus
Hmm, if you have access to a VPN can you try using that? It might just be a bad connection somewhere between your PC and our servers.
janisk31
No, I don't have access to a VPN. From what I've seen it also seems to affect only the smaller files. Stuff with several hundreds MB or even GB seems to reach the maximum download speed easily. Everything below most of the times goes up to 500 kb/s and then declines again until it finally reaches 0 b/s. Then I pause the download and resume it and it goes back up to 500 kb/s and then declines again.
janisk31
I "organised" a free VPN addon for my browser and tried downloading manually from the site with it enabled (country: US). And now it finally loads even small fize with fullspeed....
