zestreet
I'm having a problem trying to modify a mod with the geck. The problem is: imagine that the mod gives you more chems; i load that mod in the open button, make the changes, which basically are increasing the costs and weight of the chems. Then I save it with a different name. But when I load the new one in geck it only as the chems I changed. In the game it doesn't show them at all. Like nothing was changed. Example: There is the new chems A and B, which were already created by the modder. I change the cost of A, but nothing in B and I save it as AB.esp and the i close the geck. If I load AB.esp in geck, A shows up with a different cost, but B doesn't shows at all! Supposedly it should't show up A and B? And even if i load AB.esp in data files when i start the game, A (which appears in the geck) it's not on the game! Can anyone help me with this? Skotte
I see the prob,When you modded an existing mod but saved as a separate mod GECK does not save the whole mod, just what item you changed (why chem B wasn't there) if you copied the original & renamed it (through windows) then modded that one & not used the original that might be closer to what you want. zestreet
thx i tried to simply save the original mod with another name, without any changes on the chems so I could make the changes in the ew one. But when i load that new one (again after i close the geck an reopen it) it doesn't have anything new - no new chems, no nothing. edit: i also tried to do what you told me to do but it has the same problem: only the changed chems appears in the saved one (mainly because it doesn't allow to save on the same file, because it says it's the active file, so i got to save with another name)
