Are you starting a clean start of Fallout 4? Take a good look at all that The Midnight Ride shares. I have Mod Organizer 2 as my mod manager.
I found a bunch of good advice that cleaned up Fallout 4. After reading all they had to offer I learned what I needed. Now I have a smooth running game.
I read all of what, "The Midnight Ride" Web page has for setting up from a clean start.
I found that after I read it all, all I had to do was add some of the stuff they suggested. Now my game, I already have set up, works good.
The one thing they ask, I realized is important, is that you read all of the pages with the introductions up to the point of adding mods, an INI, a Bat file, and such. I did.
I then was able to add some of what they had that helped me make a good setup with the mods they picked out at Nexusmods too.

I now have gone from fifty nine mods to (195) one hundred and eighty four ESPs and eleven ESLs installed in Fallout 4. I only had one crash after trying to load three mods without running the final set up from the instructions at The Midnight Ride page before I played the game.

After having loaded those three I counted all of fifty+ ESPs, with seven ESLs. After I ran the FO4edit installed in MO2 tools, for quick access, the game ran superbly without a crash. I added all the mods for the Minuteman Base at Red Rocket plus a few more and took Nick Valentine to the final act in his crime solving vanilla set up.

GAME ON!

I decided to play around with the mod order in Mod Organizer 2 since it worked so well with the settings I set up and saved to Ruddy's 88 Simple Sorter.

It appears that after putting all those construction source files for the Workshop from several collections of Workshop bench mods for Fallout 4 and the individual work bench mods from different authors in a separate folder aligning them all caused R88 Simple Sorter to lose it's fine game running power.

The blank screen just stayed blank with the little blue ring reminding me the game was supposed to start.

I've learned! If I must move mods around in MO2 I also must remember to use FO4edit to reset the patch for Ruddy's 88 Simple Sorter too!

You know?! I think I am having fun seeing if I can crash the game after rearranging the mods again and again.

Rearranging the mods just to see what happens.

Crashes are not driving me Insane anymore while playing Fallout 4.! Oh! NOoo! I'm feeling well, i.e., healthy.

With The Midnight Ride game set up Guide I can actually just play the game without worrying about CRASHES. At least none, that I now find I caused myself by moving mods around in MO2 without re-patching so the R88 Simple Sorter doesn't know what I did.
