Error: "Please provide an authentication method"

im trying to install mods but vortex is giving me an error message.

"Servermessage: Please provide an authentication method

URL: https://api.nexusmods.com/v1/games/{gameId}/mods/{modId}"

 

i do not know what this means. it does not give a message on how to fix this.

im new to using vortex so im not sure what to do at all, and google didnt help me either.
