Game save/load bug

I've defeated many bugs and glitches in my attempt to finally play Fallout 3, but there's one I can't seem to be able to identify the cause.

When I play for some minute, the game's save/load option stops working. All save games show up as "#0000" and loading doesn't work at all. The only solution is to restart the game, yet this makes game unplayable, as it's very irritating to play for a minute, then restart the game.

 

I tried to locate the mod which causes the problem, but unsuccessfuly, as when I tried playing with different amounts of mods enabled there was no problem. After a longer time playing with all of them enabled, the bug returned.

ok. Thats one huge ass load order all i can say is try getting BOSS and run that.

The fallout 3 saves is doing the same thing too me. one of my fallout ini files was causing the game not too load. When i replaced the ini files. Now all saves show all zero's as save number. Before the 1.7 patch was installed i could see the save numbers. But once 1.7 was installed all zeros now.

Hi Semigall,

for analize you problem would take a huge time and imo its not be a solution:

 

- too many mods maybe conflict inside?

 

- your game is patched to 1.7?

 

- fo3edit show you errors?

 

generally save problem maybe caused by corrupt files (.ini or .fos\ .fos.tmp) try to backup you saves and make a new game with and without mods to see if problem persist.

 

sorry but its really hard find solution in your situation.
