Dundarian Posted May 17, 2013 Share Posted May 17, 2013 Okay i've been cleaning up my mods and i've run into problems.. trying to get rid of most of my errors and such before i get dragonborn.. my Skyrim.esm and Dawnguard.esm are filled with errors it seems i did a uninstall and reinstall and ran them in just vannila with dawnguard and hearthfire..no mods activated and i still ahve problems.. vampire glitch through alchemy and enchanting tables when using them.. vapire boots are gone.. all vampires now wear necromancer boots....i have no idea how to fix this. Georgiegril Posted May 17, 2013 Share Posted May 17, 2013 If you applied an old save to your reinstalled game, then that is your problem. As I recall, random vampires that appear before you meet Serana don't have those fancy vampire boots.Alternately, you may not have removed everything when you were trying to reinstall. Personally I would recommend a complete clean reinstall --including the removal of all mods as instructed by mod author, the removing all files related to Skyrim that are left by the Steam Delete Local Content.(or us the STEP Guide instructions for reverting to vanilla) the start a new game, unmodded, add the DLCs first then slowly add other mods and changes. The more DLCs, the more carefully mods need to be considered before trying them, as they now need to be compatible with all the DLCs plus any mods you are using. Dundarian Posted May 20, 2013 Author Share Posted May 20, 2013 I've always found them with boots before i got to even starting dawnguard. this a brand new save and i've doen a clean reinstall twice but i'm still not getting anywhere and i've checked mods are not the problem...
