Dahveed
I just got dawnguard and I can now become a Vampire Lord, which is pretty darn cool. However it feels WAY too OP. I am using Better Vampires mod and my transformations seem to be limitless, though I can only change during night. Is there a way to make the Vampire Lord a "power" ability so that I can only use it once per day? I like the idea that a Vampire Lord *should* be very powerful, but it just makes the game faceroll mode. I ran into a camp full of 5-6 bandits yesterday.... normally my 30-something stealth character wouldn't stand a chance on Master unless I was super stealthy and careful, but as VL I just tore them to shreds without breaking a sweat. This would be fine if that just meant I blew a really important CD and had to wait another day.... as it is now it's just OP as hell... Thanks! Azden
Vampire Lord *should* be very powerful, I mean c'mon it's top-of-the-line vampire.. like godly awesome blood... However as soon as I found out you can't actually "fly" with them I left it, it makes my character ugly as hell and can't interact with corpses (although there's mods for that) and so on, I just never liked the Vampire Lord. It is OP though it seems. *Edit* DAMN YOU BETHESDA! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SCREW UP FLIGHT! Been waiting SO LONG for flight, it finally comes (Dragonborn) and it SUCKS because it just hovers over and area.... ugh..... why... Dahveed
yes I agree it should be powerful, that is why I believe a CD would be a good compromise. At it stands now I feel like I can just wait until nightfall, turn into a vamp lord and basically be invincible forever.... and this is *without* perks! Any suggestions/help would be appreciated, thanks! (I was thinking a console command or just a very simple mod to make it a "power" - 24 hour cd - would be ideal)

There are mods all over the place for buffs and nerfs to all items and abilities. The point is that it's just too easy to use it in a bind. I generally don't abuse it too much but when it's there literally at the push of a button all the time it's just too easy.
Galejro
Well If yo I just got dawnguard and I can now become a Vampire Lord, which is pretty darn cool. However it feels WAY too OP. Doesn't quite make vampire lords powers less OP or power based, but it makes all their spells health-based, that is they drain you health instead of mana (for lack of a blood-bar). http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31106/? It also does several limitations to balance vampirism, such as real Sun Damage, more decent drain and a new spell etc.
