i just went and saw Iron Man 3 in IMAX 3D, my first experience with 3D since the blue and red glasses i used for fireworks as a kid. im honestly not sure what the big hype is. i thought it added asbolutely nothing to the movie. in fact i actualy watched the first half hour or so without my glasses (a little fuzzy but completely watchable to me lol). dont get me wrong. there were some cool scenes with the 3D, it was well done, but i would have had no problem, and probably would have rather have, seen it normally without 3D.

ill be buying a TV either this week or in 2 weeks (get paid every 2 weeks ugh) i had a choice between a $700 plasma or a $1000 slightly better plasma with 3D and im going with the cheaper one because i have no desire for 3D and dont think its worth the extra money for the same size TV. (if it were bigger then it may have been a different story lol)

anyways, that said, i have no knowledge of your monitor or anything. i was just giving my opinion on 3D, especially since i had such a recent and first time experience with it.

The refresh rate i was more interested in, and the 1ms response time  Radeons don't do 3d all that well, at least though i am future proof. Not to mention it has hdmi in, so i can hook up my Stereo to it via hdmi, i need a proper hdmi compliant device to make it work properly, the limitations of hdmi audio. Plus the reviews are good

i need to outsource the audio to a monitor or tv, my Sharp Aquos doesn't like being a hdmi host in that way, eyefinity doesn't work, or does clone mode.

after shipping it was nearly 400$, one problem buying it that way.

Its a good monitor.

Im using S23A700D (glossy panels FTW \o/) with my HD7950, 1080p 3D is indeed nice (sadly Skyrim with ENB wont work, but "vanilla" works perfectly). And only paid ~275$ for it :P

And ~275$ is dirty cheap in Finland, as the vg248qe costs whooping 490$...

Hey does anyone know how to overdrive refresh rates in the catalyst control panel in for higher than 75HZ refresh rates. Confused big time, and stuck at 75  its a great monitor by the way, although leds are easier on the eye. I already have a eyefinity setup thanks to this beautiful monitor
