mythicdawnmaster
Finishing her battle cry as Wrath sliced through the side of a cloaked Thalmor wizard like a knife through jelly, she did not loose her momentum as the cloaked figure dropped in two halves, his face a look of contortion, shock and agony visibly present before his eyes rolled back and his nose hit the ground. Still enraged and with veins pumped full of adrenaline, Sienna spun upon the next opponent in her path, an armed soldier, and slammed the flat of her heavy deadric weapon against the side of his head, the intense vibrations and ringing sound in his ears throwing him into disorientation before his head rolled onto the ground. She had lost far too many friends to these elves, and as though all of her woe and inner sorrow had recycled itself into bitter hate and furious rage, she continued to cut through the front line of troops, her tactics were dirty, those of a marauder rather than a chivalric knight, but by the nine they were effective, uncouth as they may have been. She spotted Rilgumskar caught in deadlock with an Altmer foe, and hoped her companion was able to overpower the altmer, before she could advance to assist, she was flung to the ground with an almighty push, raising her blade up to parry the elven great-sword that crashed down upon it, a rather brutish looking elf snarled at her, raising his blade for a higher swing. A swift, armoured kick to his unprotected groin was all Sienna needed to change the tide, and had decapitated her foe as he bent in pain.
AurianaValoria1
The cart rattled on for about fifteen minutes before the sounds of battle reached their ears. "Whoa!" the carriage driver pulled his horse to a halt, "Do you two hear that? Sounds like trouble." Faeryn rose and drew his scimitar, noticing a group just down the road, embroiled in battle with a Thalmor patrol. Glancing down at Adrynn, the Ordinator added, "Trouble indeed...our kind of trouble. Come on, Adrynn...it's time to turn the tide." Faeryn then jumped over the edge of the cart and dashed towards the nearest Thalmor elf, severing her head in one clean swipe. Sandhya saw the arrival of the golden-clad warrior and grinned a toothy grin. They would win, and soon.
darkedge42392
As soon as the sound of clashing arms reached his ears, Adrynn awoke from his light slumber and stood, his eyes pinpointing the sound. A large Thalmor patrol was battling with a group of adventurers. Faeryn was already in the fray, his golden armor distinct amongst the thrashing bodies. Adrynn unclasped his cloak, letting it fall away, and snatched up his heavy Bonemold shield, before unsheathing his glittering ebony blade and leaping from the cart. He was there in a few long strides, his blade descending on a hapless Thalmor who's attention was elsewhere. Blood sprayed and the poor elf never knew what hit him. Adrynn was already taking on another warrior before the body hit the hard dirt. The elf he battled was tall, and was swinging away with a large bladed Elven Battleaxe, but all strikes met with the Redoran's shield. Adrynn deflected one savage downward blow with his shield, sidestepping as the axe buried in the dirt, before countering with a deadly upper cut that left the elf missing half of his head. Adrynn felt amazing. It had been many months since he taken up his sword and he felt the years melt away as he pressed forward into the battle. Faeryn was off to his left, engaged in his own deadly game of death, a tall Imperial woman was ahead of him, savagely fighting anyone she could lay her blade on, a Khajiiti woman was working the flanks, picking off archers and mages, another Khajiit moved on the other side, mirroring the female, and a Nord was locked in a power struggle with a tall Altmer. Adrynn took this all in with a single sweeping glance. He was closest to the Nord, so fought his way there, his dark ebony blade parting the way there. Adrynn took two short running steps and drove his blade through the elf, unfortunately spraying the Nord with blood. But his blade caught in the heaving body of the elf as he fell and was wrenched from the Redoran's grasp. Cursing, Adrynn rolled away from the body and his sword, dodging a deadly arc of an Elven Greatsword. He rolled to his knees, blocking the incoming strikes with his shield, grunting from the impact. With his right hand free, Adrynn calmly gathered his magick to him, gathering it into a crackling ball of electricity. When the elf stood up tall and reached overhead to deliver an arm breaking blow, Adrynn drove the edge of his heavy shield into the ribs of the elf, catching the Thalmor by the throat as he doubled over. "This day, you rue your birth, Thalmor," Adrynn cursed, unleashing the lightning.
Macman253
Felix cracked a smile as he took a run at a large boulder and jumped high into the air, he extended his staff to battle length and plummeted feet first into an unsuspecting Thalmor, the strike sent him to the dirt. Felix landed with the grace of a khajiit and slipped around the wild crossing swings of the elven blade, the roar of battle gave him perfect vision and he relished it. The Thalmor was filled with visible rage at how Felix moved and countered every strike he threw at him but when Felix tired of toying with him he shattered the elves knee with a powerful swing of his staff and broke his face with a backhanded strike, he grasped a pair of throwing knives and hurled them into the necks of a pair of Thalmor that charged him. The acrobat put the pommel of his staff as he ran at another thalmor and used it to leverage himself into a dropkick that sent the fully-armored Thalmor Justicar flying over a rock and landing with a sickening crack of his neck.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Svarn burst from the bushes to the left flank of the now dwindling Thalmor, a large curved hunting knife in his offhand and Fjorlag gripped tightly in his main-hand. He came in like a blizzard with a wild strike from Fjorlag that rended the legs out from under a Thalmor agent and a final strike from his hunting knife. Svarn left the knife in the dying elves throat and blocked a overhead chop from his partner and delivered a kick to the groin that freed them from their grapple, Svarn followed up with a hard swing that took the reeling Elves head clean off. 'I swear by Talos you will die here today!' He roared at the Thalmor that ran, he placed his fingers to his lips and let out an ear piercing whistle and with that the large white and black half-wolf leapt from the bushes and easily ran down the Thalmor, in a struggle of ripping and tearing and horrified screaming the Thalmor met his end on the teeth of Fenrir. mythicdawnmaster
Sienna spun on her heel as the immediate Thalmor around her were dead, each now disfigured in some way from the enraged fury she had unleashed upon them, only just then realizing another two had joined the fray to face the Thalmor, the first she caught sight of a man in shining gold armour, and based on all she could muster from the various accounts of lore she had read, he resembled the elite warriors of Morrowind, the Ordinators, and the aged warrior that fought with him clearly a man of wisdom and experience. It wasn't long until the Thalmor were so very few in number that the battle would end within minutes, and she grinned in elation as more fell to the efforts of Feliz, and yet another new face, a Nord it appeared. Despite her joy the sadness of Okuras's fate was unsettling, seeing a chance to move her companions body before it was crushed beneath the tumbling carcasses of the Thalmor, Sienna hoisted the limp body over her shoulder, and moved her over to the grassy edge of the path's verge. Zephyr2011
Ra'Qassar had ducked behind a tree after felling a few more Thalmor, with no Thalmor in his immediate vicinity he returned to his bow. He notched a particularly viciously tipped arrow, drew and stepped out from behind his cover ready to kill only to find that the battle was over. The Thalmor had fallen, thanks in part to the three different faces that had surfaced since the outbreak of the ambush. He lowered his bow and relaxed his grip on his arrow. Ra'Qassar approached the two Dunmer newcomers and extended his hand towards the one in bonemold. "We thank you for your assistance Dunmer. These Thalmor were in retreat after a siege at Whiterun. We were fortunate that the two of you, and the other fine fellow arrived when you did. You certainly helped tip the scales. I am Ra'Qassar." The Khajiit grinned now that the fighting was resolved, he detested war. --------------------------------------- The hollow eyes of the lich glowed brightly, with a fiery presence. Each skeletal hand brandished a different form of magic, one a bonfire of damnation, the other a raging tempest of electricity. He stood before the great beast, its fetid breath billowing about him. The dragon opened its great maw and unleashed a blizzard of ages old. Baltis stood undaunted though and let loose with his own magics, releasing his fire spell. The energies clashed in a bright phantasm of light that would have blinded either combatant if their eyes weren't already long gone. Slowly, the fire of Llervu's magic beat back the tide of the dragon's ice and the dark elf began to advance upon the beast. Skeletons began to rise near Baltis and approach to strike him. Now he raised his off hand and clenched it into a fist with the torrent of lightning still within his grasp. A terrible thundering resounded through the massive chamber as great bolts of magic leaped and bounded from foe to foe, disintegrating the skeletal warriors while Baltis focused upon the dragon. The breath was stayed completely at last and the monstrosity bellowed in rage, agitation, and fear. Llervu then raised his off hand and focused a destructive ward upon the beast, draining its energy and resistances. The flames slowly sputtered out as this new spell that slowly harvested all of the magical energies within the dragon took hold. It wasn't long before the great dragon collapsed and its bones scattered once more, strewn about the floor of Labyrinthian. Baltis knew that it wouldn't be long before the powers that be would re-convene and the beast would lay in wait again, but he could now pass. The test was easy enough, and the dragon would not trouble him any longer. Anyone that might follow him, however, was a different question. darkedge42392
As the body of the convulsing Thalmor hit the ground, missing the greater portion of his upper body, Adrynn stopped and glanced around. The fighting was at an end, the last few falling to Faeryn it seemed. The Redoran glanced up as a lithe Khajiit stepped forward, extending his hand in greeting. Adrynn shook it and nodded, now noticing the Nord with the wolfhound. "Aye, we expected trouble in our journey, but not quite so soon or with such... bothersome foes," Adrynn said, gesturing to the broken bodies of the Thalmor around the pair. "I am Adrynn Indarys, of House Redoran," Adrynn said, introducing himself by crossing his right hand over his breast and bowing. He nodded again and noticed the dark shine of his ebony hilt still standing where it had been pulled from him. He made his way to the body of the Thalmor he had felled earlier and pulled his sword free, gritting his teeth as the body resisted. Remembering his scabbard lay in the bottom of the carriage, Adrynn stuck the tip in the ground and leaned on it, now feeling the throbbing in his left leg. He wasn't as young as he used to be. He nodded to the Nord Battlemage. "Sorry about the mess, sera. I didn't mean to dirty your clothes with such proudly vain blood." He smiled, hoping the Nord caught his joke. The Redoran glanced around once more, noticing everyone at last. Even the crumpled body of the fallen Argonian. He turned to his companion. "Come Faeryn, meet our comrades." AurianaValoria1
Sandhya tucked her blades back into her scabbards and stayed close to Ra'Qassar, saying nothing, but mimicking his wide grin. Despite the furious battle and her own wounds - a few scrapes here and there - she was just as cheery as she ever was. Faeryn sheathed his scimitar after the last Thalmor fell, then made his way over to Adrynn's side. He flipped up the mask of his helmet, the shadow of it obscuring the upper half of his face, save for his nearly glowing ruby eyes. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance," he inclined his head to Ra'Qassar, "I am Faeryn Sethandas, Ordinator of the Reclamation Temple." He gestured to the carnage, "At least these particular agents won't be reporting to their masters. How fares Whiterun?"
Macman253
Felix sat on the body of a thalmor and struck up his pipe. The battle was over and he needed a smoke, Felix heard the Ordinator speak and slid his hood over his face to hide it, some years ago he broke into the Mournhold Keep and stole a very valuable artifact left by the Nerevarine, he drew a dagger from his belt and cut four notches into his staff as he puffed gently on his pipe. 'It's pretty banged up... they sacked it but paid dearly for it, the survivors split into two groups.' He said to the Ordinator while keeping his head low. 'The second group went towards Labryinthian...' Felix added as he reduced his staff from it's battle length and tucked it into the sheath on his hip. Svarn spun Fjorlag to clear the blood and gore from it and pulled his knife free of the dead elf. Fenrir came up to him and licked his hand for a petting, Svarn smiled and pulled a small piece of horker jerky from a pouch on his belt and fed it to him and gave him a quick patting. When the two Dunmer began to speak with the party he rolled over the corpse of a dead elf and searched his pockets. After finding some gold and jewelry he moved onto the next one, these strangers seemed to want nothing to do with him so he kept out of their way. Fenrir stood close to Svarn and locked eyes on the two Khajiit and began to growl but Svarn tapped him on the nose to correct his behavior. mythicdawnmaster
Sienna returned to the group as both of the aged Dunmer introduced themselves, smiling to hear their titles- Such exotic expertise was clearly due to their origins, and what rare beginnings they were. The last she had heard anything of the warriors from old Morrowind was in books as a training crusader, but up close they certainly lived up to their legends. She approached both men and bowed, one warrior to two, and shook both of their hands respectfully "A true honour to meet you both, warriors of Morrowind, I never did think I'd one day meet the heroes of the books." She grinned and paused for a moment. "I am Knight Commander Sienna Strident, of the Knights of the Nine, thank you, a thousand times for your assistance in this matter, but please, don't let us keep you from your journey, it seems we are to backtrack upon ourselves now." She noted the carriage and assumed the duo had somewhere to go.
