Karmamuscle
Hi,I read that it is best to cap skyrim at 60 fps and have done so using evga precision x 4.1.0 on my 680.Which has the benefit of the card not having to work as hard, which gives lower rpms on the fan, yay for less noise! :) However, I have massive screen tearing, everytime I move the camera. And I have no clue why it does this, the fps doesn't drop below 60. ZeroKing
Cap it at 58 or 59 fps instead. Having at even at 60 fps is problematic, because VSync or any other framerate cap will allow +/- 2 fps, so you may get over 60 fps instantaneously (can't be read by any performance monitor). Karmamuscle
Thank you ZeroKing, it helped alot. It still happens on occation indoors, but much more tolerable.
ZeroKing
Aye, no problem. If it happens indoor, where framerate tends to be higher, then lower it to 57 fps and try this mod to further optimize interior location performance: Skyrim Project Optimization. This mod increase framerate, whilst decreasing stuttering, which means a greater incentive to lower your framerate a bit more to optimize overall performance. Hope everything works out.
