sabin1981
Someone please help, this is driving me nuts! I've got a bunch of mods installed (and by a bunch, I mean 96 >_>) and ONE of them is driving me up the wall but I don't know which one! I've gone through all the ESPs and I just can't find the one that is giving this particular scenario. Basically, I'm running round the wasteland causing all manner of hassle (Combat_Overhaul, while increasing the game difficulty to ridiculous levels, is just plain awesome!) and, right out of the blue, I see a woman walking towards me. She's called "Lucifer's Minion" and as soon as she gets close, the screen goes black and I wake up inside a bloody furnace. Flames shooting out of the walls and all. When I walk forward, I hear a voice (supposedly from Satan) saying something mumbled and unclear .. then that's it. Nothing else. I'm completely stuck there, unable to move through the flames in front or behind. There's a single window there looking into another room, with a corpse on the floor. Walking into the flame sets me on fire and knocks me down. I've reloaded to an earlier save, but as soon as I choose to "Wait" for however many hours, I instantly get teleported back into the furnace (supposed to be hell?) The VERY first time this happened, I saw a guy walk passed me in the furnace called "Lucifer" and when he walked through the first wall of flame, it disappeared and allowed me to continue. I was prompty, thanks to the Combat_Overhaul mod, one-shot-killed by a RobCo droid. Now whenever the scene happens, I don't see Lucifer, I just hear his voice and then I'm stuck in there :( PLEASE help me identify this mod so I can either find a fix for the "hahaha, you're stuck f00" or remove the bloody thing! SpeedyB64
I have no idea what mod that is but you could use the console (~) to activate god mode (tgm) and toggle collision and walk through walls/floors (tcl)
sabin1981
I was going to, but since I saw Lucifer the first time and he shut off the first flame-wall, but not the second, I reckoned that it was a broken script and disabling collision wouldn't really help :( Ok, it seems like the script triggered this time. I managed to kill the RobCo droids before they killed me .. and it teleported me to some weird floating islands. Apparently I'm in "Lucifers Games" -- but I STILL don't know what the hell this mod is and how in the hell I could have installed it.
Skotte
What you could try is get FO3edit http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=637 and load up your entire mod list & check the "non-player character & creature lists (Lucifer & minion could be creatures) BTW if you find It I'd like to know what mod it is. it sounds like it be one to check out imho
sabin1981
Found it! It was "Mysterious Liaisons" -- and was hosted on here, but it seems it was removed. I can't find the mod listing anywhere now, not on FO3.nexus or even via a Google search. This was it; http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2779
buddah
Here is the read me for the file perhaps it will help: File name: Mysterious LiaisonsCreated by: Regent EagleVersion: 1.0 ===================================================Description: A strange being known only as Lucifer has developed a extra specialmutation - he can delve into your mind and control it.To do this he sends out a minion to take you to his realm of games. Upon entering his twisted world you will get help from a unexpectedally who will help you when he can.You will fight your way through unique worlds and dungeons in this shortto medium quest (depending how good you are of course). A new powerful weapon know as the "Gravity Hammer" is also yours if you can find it.There is also a few hidden containers to find with a reward and developer comments. ***There are two endings to this mod*** Notes: This quest has taken me ages to finish, just on the amount of content in itnow. I have tried to give new experiences where possible and please do notblitz through it and say it was short because you didn't kill everything or findall the hidden items I placed.I have kept low on the dialogue as it is not my best side of modding andalso the same with quests but I like to try.I have tested everything and it works ok and I have completed it so there isno worries there I believe. Hope you enjoy as I do feel Fallout 3 needs more quests. This quest will not appear on your journal and you will have to be in the Wasteland for the minion to find you (for example not in a house or Megaton). Just wait if you want to start it or else it should come naturally. Thanks, RE. ===================================================Install: Copy the data folder and .esp to your Fallout 3 Data folder. ===================================================Bugs: - If you die in the first area and reload Lucifer will not show up after you reload. To fix this simply exit the game and restart it and then reload or just save after he has put out the fire. This is very strange and most likely game engine related. ===================================================Updates: 1.0 - Initial Release 1.1 Release - Fixed a bug where Lucifer's Minion would engage the player in dialoguewhile they where waiting. This no longer happens. - Changed the voice files to sound like some crazy Irish person. - The Gravity Hammer now causes more damage (maximum). - Added a extra enemy in the tree world. ===================================================Credits: Regent Eagle - Everything. ===================================================Usage: This file can be edited to use on one computer only andmust not be shared or uploaded to anywhere without mypermission.Upon downloading you are agreeing to use this filein the above mentioned terms. If have any plans please use the comment box where this fileis hosted (fallout3nexus.com) or PM me on the site previouslymentioned.
sabin1981
Thanks loads, Buddha!! Bugs: - If you die in the first area and reload Lucifer will not show up after you reload. To fix this simply exit the game and restart it and then reload or just saveafter he has put out the fire. This is very strange and most likely game engine related. Bingo! That's what was happening to me. Once I died the first time (damn you Combat_Overhaul!) it just wouldn't trigger the script for Lucifer to reappear. Anyway, I finished the quest (got the "bad" ending because I just couldn't stand being in that room any longer) and now I don't have to worry about it. Do you happen to know why it's no longer on the site, Buddha?
SpeedyB64
Operation Anchorage has the same problem at the end, drove me crazy!
buddah
The uploader pulled it for reasons that are unknown to me, I am the unofficial off line back up for both sites, I try to keep a copy of everything that is uploaded here. Now if I can get uploaders to understand the importance of file naming and version numbers my life would be much easier. I hate overwriting files, I love to keep a copy of each carnation of a file to see how and why it evolves into it's final form. But with daily changes on many files, it is easier just to overwrite with the current file. You don't want to know the size of my archives....it is absolutely insane, for both nexus sites it currently exceeds 310Gigs of data. Glad I could help and the problem was sorted out. sabin1981
Good GOD, man! 310GB of mods... lol! I used to brag about having close to 7GB of Oblivion mods, but that just takes the biscuit! *chuckles* Ah well, at least I managed to get my issue fixed (thank you for helping out with the readme!!) I just wish I knew why the uploader pulled the file. I had a blast with it, once I knew what the hell I was doing, heh.
