Biohazard186
So I've got this dragon corpse falling from the sky on top of me every once in a while so I decide to mark it for deletion. Thought everything was all well and good. Came back to the College of Winterhold some time later and it seems I didn't get it. Instead a section of the College is now simply gone. >.>;; How do I get it back?
HazardHighlanders2011
wow. how would deleting a random falling dragon corpse take out a section of the college? very strange indeed. do you have any mods that might have done something to the college and/or dragons to cause this? like compatibilities with other mods or something? if not it's probably one of the random game bugs that bethesda is so infamous for.... SineWaveDrox
I'm guessing that you when you intended to click the dragon to delete it, you instead clicked the college (I really wish the console would display the name instead of just the ID). Thus, your markfordelete command deleted part of the college. I have no idea how to go about fixing it, but I'm guessing that's the problem. Deleted3507349User
You might try going to someplace like Markarth (or anywhere NOT near Winterhold) and wait 31 game days. That should reset all the exterior cells (except the one you're in). No guarantee, of course.
Biohazard186
HazardHighlanders2011: Look at what Insanityman said, I believe that's what happened. digitaltrucker: Okay, I'll try that and post again. I'll go to qasmoke just to be safe.Edit: The hole is still there. Do I have to wait using the T key? Cuz I just sped up time by changing the timescale.Edit2: Waiting the traditional way for 31 days fixed it. Thank you. :3 Edited May 20, 2013 by Biohazard186
Deleted3507349User
You're welcome! It didn't even occur to me that you would try anything other than the in-game method of waiting for 31 days. Good thing to note that it's the only reliable way. As an aside, waiting for 31 days is also a good way to get all of the plant ingredients to respawn.
