comparing a fantasy rpg game world with our own real history never works nor is it really comparible

the developers might get their inspiration from our own ancient cultures but there it stops

comparing the empire with our own historical empire just doesn't work they are two complete different things each with their own traditions history and evolving in a complete different way

there is no magic in our world our religions are way more complex and diverse than in TES , we have no dadra and other planes in out universe , atlest not proven

we only have one race humans we have thousands different cultures in our ow history

we are advancing technical vert fast compared as in the world of TES

TES is a complete fictious fantasy world that is not compatible with ourr own world TES universe is escapism a perfect imaginative universe with Heroes of immense powers and villians that make ourt own historical tyrants look like lambs

"No magic in the world"?

Have to disagree with that, Arthur C. Clarke's 3rd law says 'Any suficiently advanced technology is indistingushable from magic' or are you saying you actually understand how the 'Creation Engine' works? Or the Machine code of your computer that it runs on for that matter, Or how the Microchips are made?

It seems to me that anyone who says that there is no magic in the world isn't paying close enough attention to the fasinating world we inhabit. . .

The Dunmer actually derive more from Feudal Japanese than anything. From art, to architecture, to their Noble Houses and constant shadow-Warfare, they are the spitting image of the Shogunate.

The Altmer, on the other hand, have never been properly examined. ESO ran roughshod over them, and even then they're very poorly defined. They're a weird combination of Enlightenment Europe, Tibetan mysticism and early Colonial military. They are, right now, probably the most complicated TES culture, which is why we haven't seen much of them.

As for the Argonians... Mesoamerican is probably the best example for them. They've gone from city and Pyramid builders to living in mud-huts. Why, we aren't sure, but their rise and sudden 'fall' (if we assume they actually fell, and didn't just choose to change) is reminiscent of the Mayans and the Toltec.

They are definitely NOT inspired by the Amaraindians. The Kothringi were, but they're extinct from the Khanatin Flu, in a nice parallel to the pandemics brought over by the Colonials.

wood elf's are native apache

Nah, Wood Elves are something else again. Carefree, violent, canibalisitc... They're a mix of at least a dozen different tribal groups the world over. Mixed in with a touch of various Elven groups, such as the Wolf-Riders from the Elf-Quest comics (the tree-shaping magics they use and their almost exclusively carnivorous diet).

Boiling most races down to a single analogue isn't going to work, because every one of them has drawn inspiration from dozens of sources, factual and fictional.
