eliafram
When playing skyrim i always have a stable fps of 60 (because of vsync) even when in towns and what not.But even tho it shows 60 fps when i enter a town i start getting lag spikes, kind of that my character keeps running but my screen stop for a split second and gets back to him.I turned off vsync which fixed it and i got a fps of like 100-120 but weird s#*! started happening. My mount was hovering over the ground and wolves were in the trees and stuff like that.I turned off Vsync by adding ''iPresentinterval=0'' to the ''Skyrim.ini'' file.I know im supposed to add it to the ''skyrimprefs.ini'' but when i do that nothing happens, it only turns of vsync when i do it to the ''skyrim.ini'' file.Any ideas? Georgiegril
If you are going to shut off vsync, you also need to limit your fps.Try 58 fps, since you were able to get 60. Limiting to 60 may cause conflict with your monitor's refresh rate. Depending on your driver type, you should be able to limit your fps in the driver control software (like NVidia Inspector, Radeon Pro, or whatever)

Georgiegril
I don't have radeon cards and am only barely familiar with catalyst, but there should be a game profile on the driver control software. Just make changes for skyrim there on the specific skyrim profile.

Georgiegril
A screenshot would be useful.VSync disabled could cause screen tearing--where part of the screen seems to move separately from the other. BUt what you describe sounds like something else. Post a screenshot...probably not due to VSync if it isn't tearing. Also, please post the screenshot here. Asking people to download an image can be a security risk, so I try not to do it personally, and other people are more likely to take a look at it too. Monkinsane
What you're describing sounds like an issue I had where the sky looks like the inside of a cube around the edges of the map.. Are you using an ENB? And is MSAA enabled? If so, disable MSAA or the ENB, if you want AA use FXAA with the ENB instead.
eliafram
Ok, forget the last comment i wrote, its screen tearing. When i screencap it, it does not appear in the picture.I am not using any ENB's or any mods that change the way the game looks.Only mods that add weapons, armors and such. And its not only the sky, if i look around fast it happens. Edit: Ill tell you again what i did.I added ''iPresentinterval=0'' to the ''skyrim.ini'' file under the display section.I then got on to ''Riva tuner'' to set a frame limit for skyrim.I got in game and i had no weird s#*! going on, no weird noises and what not.Only problem is screen tearing. In ''skyrimprefs'' theres already a ''ipresentinterval=1'', i did not add it.Should i change that one to 0 too?
