Facade949
I recently went through the process of updating a great deal of my mods. When I finished, I started getting CTD errors. The first CTD I noticed was that it crashes whenever I attempt to save the game. It also almost always crashes when I try to load a game. The only two save files that work both spawn me in at the Moorside Inn in Morthal. One of the save files is an autosave upon entering the inn. The other save file was an auto save from entering the Morthal Bathhouse (placed by a mod) which nevertheless spawns me inside the Moorside Inn upon loading up. Once inside the inn, if I attempt to leave I receive a CTD. Additionally, attempting to access the favorites menu of my items causes a CTD.I have tried removing all of my mods, and these problems persist. The only DLC I have is Dawnguard, if that turns out to be relevant. I really am at a loss as for how to fix this or what the problem could be. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Georgiegril
Well, it is probably too late, but next time I strongly suggest that you avoid updating your mods unless you absolutely have to if you are playing on a stable game. And if you do have to, update one at a time, play to check for stablility and make a full save, maybe even a backup, before trying to update any more. What you probably did was create a corrupted save, or a save that was relying on data from old mods that is no longer there. Since you made so many changes, I suspect that you may not be able to undo the damage, and reverting to an old save is also not an option, probably, because of all the updates. Maybe someone has a better answer, but I fear that you are looking at starting a new game. I'm sorry....
zangetsu568
well.. there a few things to consider when it comes to CTD, mark this.. 1. common load order problems.. (if you have, i suggest you use BOSS - better oblivion sorting software)2. since you updated some mod versions. either your skyrim and skse or dragonscript are not in the latest version3. probably too much use of HD textures, which is too much for your system to handle (if you have or any?)4. check your tweaks in your ini. file5. see also if your video card is up to date! 6. maybe your settings are too high for your system.i hope this considerations will help, good luck.
