zip2k4
i guess new mesh would be what you'd need, because there is not a single "fat" meshes in bethesda's filethat i am aware of. I cannot make meshes too, sorry :[

sumoftwosins
The idea is great, but you'd either have limit clothing or you'd have to create an obese version of every clothing item in the game. To be more specific for you is each armor/clothing has two meshes, the female and male models. They are independent of the actor's physical traits aside from male and female. So if you created a Fat Actor, when the clothes are applied... they would be the same size as anyone else, minus the face and hands. For it to work you would need unique clothing for the new Fat Actors.

On top of a new mesh I would need: 2 Male/Female versions - 4 in total. Thank for the tip sumoftwosins.
Baelkin
You could always use a good old Hollywood trick and make "fat suits" for the characters, which basically would be a clothing item that would... well... make the character look fat when worn. I figure there's a way of making them "non-lootable", so you could make a generic item as well which the player can loot or steal, which wouldn't alter their appearance, but still allow them to wear the clothing. At least it's much simpler than making a full body replacement work and if you only need it for a few "actors" I think it's the way to go. You could easily modify vanilla clothes meshes to look like they are worn by a fat person, while still using the same hands, neck and face. Heck, you could probably even replace the neck part on the fat suit mesh with one with flabby skin with a bit of NifSkope Magic.
boozhah
Any Progress? i just started thinking about the lack of obese people in fallout 3, great idea to use that fat suit, if someone could texture fore me, i could probably make them fairly easily
documn
Talkietoaster did something in Oblivion that allowed you to mess with body shapes without making new meshes or doing the fat suit trick, but I never looked into how it worked. It was called Skeletal Variation or something like that.
