SainurIronfist
Hello fellow Nexus members. It's been over 800 hours in the land of Skyrim and this is the first time I've seen anything like it. Whether I'm in a dungeon or walking across the snowy hills of Skyrim, the flickering/striped shadows haunt and torment my spirit. I've never had this before and no matter what I do they don't go away. I've tried numerous mods and .ini tweaks but nothing seems to solve the problem. Even deleted my SkyrimPrefs.ini and let the official Skyrim Launcher create a new, clean .ini file. That didn't solve the problem. Changing bDrawLandShadows from 0 to 1, or from 1 to 0 doesn't do anything. Setting fShadowBiasScale above 1.000 doesn't fix it either, as a matter of fact it only makes it worse. Changing the shadow mode or the blur scale doesn't fix it either... that's why I'm here, asking for help or advice. I've got 2 lighting mods installed, no ENB and anyting of that fancy stuff. Only got RCRN (classic preset) and Enhanced Lights and FX. No matter what preset I select (classic, pure or legacy) it changes nothing. And Enhanced Lights and FX isn't the source of the problem either. I'm getting desperate and any help would be appreciated. http://i.imgur.com/WgSNGnW.jpg http://i.imgur.com/8l3n9pu.jpg Oh, and by the way, all of my drivers are up-to-date. So don't bother asking if my drivers are up-to-date. cheers.
blitzen
Are your drivers up to date? You totally set someone up to say that. But take a look at this: http://www.rcrncommunity.com/five-quick-skyrim-tweaks-you-may-not-know, especially the section 5) How to fix the blocky shadows and the laggy shadow cycle. They claim that the settings they show for shadows help to reduce the shadow striping.
Georgiegril
I use:iBlurDeferredShadowMask=5 (also have tried 7, not sure which I prefer)fShadowBiasScale=0.5000 Also much lower shadow resolution than that link. But it is probably a matter of taste, how blurry you want your shadows to be,Plus, it always helps to have the latest drivers. :whistling:
