Oblivion Mod suggestions

I just got Oblivion for my pc today, I am currently playing Skyrim so I am basically playing the games backwards.

Anyways I am aware of mods that make the game laggy, I know this because I download mods for skyrim and I've had to restart do to mods making my game super laggy.

 

My pc runs Skyrim in medium quality just fine, I need some suggestions on mods for Oblivion that make the game better without added lag. Things like

 

A possible hair and face mod (if there are any in oblivion)

A new race menu type of mod like the ones in skyrim

Texture and body mods for oblivion if there are any available

Maybe an eye mod too.

 

Im aware that these are available in skyrim but I am not so sure if they are available in oblivion so excuse my ignorance

Check the nexus, there are plenty. ;)

As for lag issues, use Oblivion Stutter Remover or Streamline.

On one Mod for skyrim come 100 for Oblivion. Therefore it's quiet difficult to answer

The others have made some great suggestions. Robert's Male body is pretty much the only contender for male bodies, while females have a number of options. I personally go for Robert's, but HGEC is probably the most popular and supported.

 

Hair and eyes...there are tons of them. Keep in mind that there are several eye mods out there that are completely incompatible.

 

By far my number one suggestion won't be found on those mod lists, because its a recent mod: Oblivion Character Overhaul 2. Its a face mod with a small, but awesome complement of eyes. Its definitely the most popular of the newer (think post-Skyrim) mods out there.
