Will Buying DLC Corrupt Mods?

So Steam summer sale, so I'm thinking about purchasing DLC (Dawnguard, etc)... but I have over 200 mods installed.

My first question is will the DLC mess with my mods so that my game won't work? If so, is there a workaround that I can do so I can make this process as smooth as possible? Thanks in advance.

It should not make any of the mods unusable, no. There is a chance that there are some conflicts that arise between your mods and the dlc, but that would be on a mod by mod basis. If your game plays the Bethesda logo then crashes, there is something wrong. I am afraid that there is no real way to know aside from testing it out or consulting each individual mod's page for conflicts.

most mods will be screwed up by installing DLC. you will have to restart your game and reinstall all mods.

Collector.

@ TotallyAsian: don't forget to clean the DLC and to use the corresponding unofficial patches if you use the USKP.

no they won't

sorry most mods that affect NPCs and certain world spaces will be affected. i should have been more specific.

Worst case scenario I can just uncheck the DLC .esp's and everything will go back to normal right? Then I could just explain to Steam and ask for a refund?

worst case your game will break and you will have to restart everything. this is very unlikely though.

best case little to nothing will change and you will be able to play with just minor hardly noticeable issues (essentially what you already have now) and this is the likely thing to happen.

my semi-professional opinion states that you should buy them and install them, and enjoy them. though you may need a save cleaner, you can find one in my signature; i have been informed that it is a good one.

The best advice that I can give to a newbie is the following one: Don't trust the word of people unable to argue and with low modding skills. This will save you a lot of time.
By watching the profile of users, you can check if they have already done one or several mods or if they're are working on projects, therefore you can get a good overview of their skills.
In my case, I'm specialized in NPC, Quest & AI, here the proofs:
