Can't activate armor remodel mod...

So I recently completely uninstalled and reinstalled Skyrim because my character was partially invisible and I couldn't fix it (I figure I must've have deleted some textures or something accidentally), but now, as I'm going back through and reinstalling all the mods I had on before, one of them (and the last one I need) simply won't activate. I've tried several times but it just works for a while then stops and when I hover over the status it just says "The mod was not activated". The mod in question is ChronoTrigger77's Remodeled Armor for CBBE Bodyslide TBBP HDT. How can I get this mod to activate?

By "works for a while" I mean the install process appears to be progressing as usual, without any issues. However, after about 5 minutes it stops and gives me the "Mod not activated" status. As for the requirements, I have HDT, SKSE, CBBE, and this skeleton:

I assume this is the same as XPMSE but maybe I'm wrong?

Nope. NMM. Shouldn't make a difference though, I've had it installed through NMM before. Like I mentioned earlier, it's just not working this time around.

I only mentioned it because in Mod Organizer you can overwrite files based on where you have the mods installed in the left pane.

But that's not the case for you.

If your character was invisible, that's not a missing texture. A missing texture has the correct mesh ("shape"?) but is either purple or black. An invisible suit of armor suggests conflicting records. Is this happening on a naked character or with a particular armor set?

Alright, time for a strange sort of update. I tried to install it again because I'm stubborn, and it worked. The mod installed just like normal, and everything in game looks fine. Not exactly sure why this happened, as I'm pretty sure I didn't change or do anything to make it work, but whatever. As for the whole texture issue, my character's body was completely invisible with or without armor/clothes, though I could see their arms, legs and head. They were also bald, but I fixed this issue before so it's irrelevant now. I only mentioned it as a segway into why I needed to reinstall my Skyrim, though it sounds like I didn't actually have to do that.
