Okay soooo I also have a bit of a visual effect problem.

Whenever I'm casting a spell, a Restoration or Conjuration (not quite sure which one) visual effect comes up. Looks crap when I'm about to fry an enemy and it looks like I'm summoning fairies with a ball of lightning in my hand.

I've tried a few things, refreshing the MGEFs, didn't work, went into Vampire Lord form and reverted, which worked but only until I loaded a saved game.

It's not the same case with a new character, but I don't really want to run through 40 quests and 50-60 levels again.

Taking the spell skills into legendary only worked with my Destruction magic when I had a lightning visual effect that actually looked cool, but it's not working for any of the other spell schools, whichever is causing the trouble.

Any leads?

Additionally, I can get rid of the effect by using the sexchange command twice, but then it will reappear upon entering first person. For now I've settled for staying in third person, but any assistance is appreciated; perhaps there is some way to find the effects active on your character? I've tried dispelallspells and that does nothing at all.

I think it might be the Dragon born priest effect, but I keep getting the error
