  1. What settings do you play on? Do you have, by any chance, lowered the actor/item/object render distance?
  2. Is that so? Well, googling this, brings up things you will definitely not like to hear. Apparently, he has a special version of the game. Google it, this "problem" only exists with special versions of the game.
  3. Nope, not me. Execute the setup with admin privileges, that should fix it.
  4. Bethesda doesn't even let you activate Survival mode, once you jumped out of it, to not have your new level 1 character insta-killed by Radroaches. Console is also deactivated exclusively for the Survival mode. Bethesda is really treating their playerbase like retards these days.
  5. Hey, Let's get straight to the point: I suffer greatly from absolutely poor performance in this game. I can run most other games (GTAV, The Witcher 3 ect.) on high settings on 1080p with stable 60fps, so it's not my hardware. I have: AMD FX-8350 @4.7GHz 16GB DDR3 RAM R9 380 4GB OC The game still runs like utter crap. I did everything, verified integrity game chache, reinstalled the game twice, on a HDD and an SSD to make sure, installed countless of performance mods, ini tweaks and enb presets, and even removed shadows and fog completely, but to no avail. Also, I have removed the godrays with the CK completely. Still no change. - Even on a resolution of 800x600, the game lags around like crazy. My drivers are up to date too, by the way. I hope that either, there is a thing I'm missing here, or, that there will be a full-fledged optimization mod in the near future, now with the CK out. Details to help identify the problem: - Lag is extreme when looking straight on the ground, like if the game has trouble to load each new meter of ground I walk on - I can move forward on ultra setting with almost no lag, but looking around kills my FPS and brings it down to below 25 (from 55-60fps) - City area is unplayable when running through it - A lot of stuff is not loaded when not shown, and suddenly gets loaded all at once when in field of view This sounds like poorly executed occlusion culling to me. Could that be edited with the CK? I'm not a savvy with that thing, but I hope there is a way. I don't have 16GB of RAM to only use roughly 3GB of. Anyway, thanks in advance. Any sort of help is appreciated.
  6. Oh I did that, but the game runs better on Ultra than on Low, still not optimal though. So for some reason, lowering everything makes the game run even worse. That's why I hoped to find the things in the CK and just throw them out the hard way. EDIT: Not gonna hijack this thread for my problem, making an own thread for it.
  7. So, has anyone found way to deactive/remove/switch visual effects? I'm not really trying to make a good overhaul, just a makeshift performance mod for me, because my game runs like shite, despite meeting the requirements. I've only found a godrays section, having no performance effect on the game at all. Deleted all of them, just to see what they are directly affecting and... it removed the sun as an object. Now only the halo is visible. The godrays themselves are still there though, for whatever reason.

  9. The DLC is mainly a convenience thing. You can capture them, activate a brain wave transmitter and then release them and they're non-hostile in a limited radius. There are mods to keep Deathclaws as friends/allies too, though I don't know any off the top of my head. I'm sure I saw some of them alread though.
  10. Go and set up your mods as usual with NMM. Now exit NMM. Now go here on your computer: C:\Users\[your Username]\AppData\Local\Fallout4 - And open the plugins.txt file. It should look like this now: Fallout4.esm DLCRobot.esm DLCworkshop01.esm ArmorKeywords.esm Homemaker.esm Craftable Armor Size.esp SettlersRename.esp Scrap Everything.esp -- Now, you simply add a star/asterisk ( * ) in front of unofficial addons (mods), and it should look like this: -- Fallout4.esm DLCRobot.esm DLCworkshop01.esm *ArmorKeywords.esm *Homemaker.esm *Craftable Armor Size.esp *SettlersRename.esp *Scrap Everything.esp -- Now save the file, close it, right click it and set it to read-only. Do not start NMM now, because the current version will reset the plugins.txt - Instead, start fallout directly through Fallout4.exe. All done, mods should be working (confirmed working on 1.5.151)
  11. Just moved to spectacle island myself. Building myself a nice multi-level market and hostel system over there, though I still keep my "most trusted" settlers with me on the military side of things (near the generator boat thingy). I have 2 Kirks now though. Both on guard duty. One of them keeps attacking mirelurks with my MIRV, which isn't a good idea in a more enclosed settlement, obviously. About deathclaws: I'm currently trying to built a small fort full of deathclaws, and upon attacks, I will release the deathclawraken on them crabbies. Oh don't trust turrets as guards... they're plotting for world domination and won't do s#*! against the crab people. I think they're in cahoots with Pisces.
  12. Indeed, it's physically impossible to remove any and all noise from a gun. But in terms of sound suppression/silencing, the russians would like to present a rebuttal, sir. VSS "Vintorez" / AS "Val" / VSK-94: Categorized as sniper rifles, chambered in 9×39mm, integrated silencer - No audible noise in open areas within its intended engagement range (100-600m). VSSK "Vykhlop": Special purpose, large caliber sniper rifle, chambered in 12.7x55mm (~.50 cal), subsonic ammunition, integrated silencer - No audible noise in open areas within its intended engagement range (300-1500m). Sure, you can't fire a suppressed gun next to someone without them noticing, even a BB gun makes a whole lot of noise. Using suppressed weapons in their intended areas of specialization though, renders them virtually silent. It's all a matter of how you use what you are given.
  13. Heh, 21st of April aaaaaaand still no CK. huehuehue, I think it's obvious that the CK will come together with the full Survival update at this point. And seeing as Bethesda said, that the update can still take up to an entire month to be finished with this whole beta thing... Oh, what a surprise, Far Harbor comes out next month. What a coincidence.
  14. Heh, propably the same way a giant sentry bot takes place behind a shop counter. By resizing. No joke, I've seen a giant Ahab-style sentry bot manning a shop/store in a settlement... and to fit behind the counter, he was scaled on the fly lol.
  15. Oohhhhh, it's on! http://i.imgur.com/MAAgA6F.jpg
