so this may be something I did and I'm just being dumb but I've been trying to make some new meshes and use them in game I can make the weapon fine in the construction kit but whenever I try to place it down into the world it crashes the construction set. I also tried changing the model of a base weapon but the second I get it into my inventory the game crashes, if I put it into an npc's inventory and try to place it down in the world it crashes the costruction set aswell, anyone know what to do?

Hmm, sounds like it could be a faulty NIF file. Would you mind sharing it here so some of us could have a look?

The forum does have means to add attachments to your posts, but it's severely restricted/limited and mostly not meant to be used.

 

The only way to add access to resources to your posts is by uploading them somewhere else first and then linking to them. Some people also just post the download urls without making them clickable links.

Hello again I have another question, and that is that I made a helmet using the games resources and I can place it with no crashes and I can see it in game but it won't let me pick it up while its on the ground any thoughts?

It probably has a script that prevents you from picking it up.

All wearables like armor and clothing are divided in 2 types of meshes.

  • Ground Mesh
  • Wearable Mesh

You must make one of each. Look at other helmets in CS and you see it there  :)

Nevermind of my previous ground mesh question I realized I don't need to and I can just use a different one.
