FPS problems

Hello :smile:

 

so here i am again with another problem, this one however isen't to big of a problem,

i'm having FPS around the 10 - 20 and i wish to have higher then that, so help me out here please :smile:

so i basicle wanne know what is cauing me to have sutch low FPS and what/if i can do about it

.p.s. if u want more info or something or so please feel free to ask

In your Oblivion.ini, set uGridDistantTreeRange and uGridDistantCount to 9. That will gain you some FPS.

 

If you have a spare usb port and a flash drive, dedicate a device to ReadyBoost. This will make a huge difference on your system. Doubled my FPS, no BS.

 

But the real issue here is mod selection. You have some CPU/RAM hungry mods, but inadequate system CPU/RAM to handle them. Here are the most demanding mods you have installed, you will probably have to make some tough choices about which ones to keep.

 

MMM - AI eats a lot of performance, and MMM adds a lot of new baddies. Try Francesco's Leveled Creatures/Items for diversity without performance loss.

 

Better Cities - The "open" version is most demanding.

 

OBGE Liquid Water

 

Unique Landscapes - The ones that add forests can cause a big FPS hit. Choose wisely.

If you're using onboard sound, you could try either quiet feet or use Wrye Bash tweak to get rid of creature feet sound. If you haven't done already, try Pyffi to optimize the vanilla meshes along with any other mod added meshes. Same goes for textures.

so i tryd to Pyffi bit i coulden't even get the procces started, it sayed it needed Python27 (which i was not tolt on any page or any place wahtsoever) anyways i have that installed in my c:/ exactly where the program wants to be and yet the pyffi thing claims it isen't, i have no idea how to Pyffi things a instruction would be great
