I would greatly appreciate any links, feedback, pointers, tutorials, etc on the matter. If anyone has a link to a YouTube tutorial for novices, that would be ideal. I've got the specific item I want to use as a texture base in mind, but I'd like to give it different stats, abilities, and a color tweak.Thank you in advance. I'll give you a brief (very-brief) explanation of what you will need. FNV Geck: Lets you make mods. You will use it to create the item, assign stats and ability. This is the *easy part. NifSkope: Lets you edit 3d models including textures. You will create a new texture (.dds file) and you will point the model to that texture under the texture list. Don't change the _n map unless your texture is dramatically different. GIMP: GnU image manipulation program... A lovely piece of software that deserves respect. You can use this to do image manipulation and then export to .dds format. As for finding links, I leave that to you! (Because that would take forever to find) -Good Luck!
