profile picture problem

I wanted to change the profile picture, but I found that after uploading the new profile picture, It still shows the picture I set for the first time.

Nexus Profile Avatar and Forum Profile Avatar out of sync, I need to know if this is a mistake? Thanks :tongue:

It's not a mistake on your end. The version on the website is cached and will take a few hours to update.

But I tried it a few days ago, and a few days have passed and it has not changed. So I am thinking about what is wrong.

i can confirm this problem on two pc i use. one pc shows the new image (i changed it on that rig) and my laptop shows the old image like i have never changed it. the change took place 1 month ago.

This may also be browser level cache. The way to check this is as follows:

 

1. View your site profile.

2. Right click on your avatar and select "Open image in new tab" or equivalent.

3. In the new tab, press Ctrl + F5 to force your browser to pull the newest version of that resource.

 

This should refresh it. I'm seeing the blue haired Cyberpunk character on the both the site and the forums.

i can confirm the cache deletion in firefox solved the problem for me. thanks!

 

funny that even after a month due to this cache the image was never updated. good to know.
