I ran into a glitch where Alduin is now hanging out with Paarthurnax on the throat of the world after completing the main story line.After learning bend will, I thought I'd try and use it on him, see what happens- since he's already bugging out, so why not. However nothing happened. I then wanted to experiment with Alduin in the creation kit, so I went into the CKmake a duplicate Alduin, but removed his faction for BEING Alduin, changed his voice type to dragonand told him to sit beside Paathurnax. After getting the custom Alduin into place, I went in game after activating the esp and seen him waiting.I tried bending his will, but still nothing. So what am I missing? What is preventing Alduin from having his will bended? I've changed his faction, and his voiceto a common dragon. The only thing is, he's still AlduinRace, since dragons wont wear his Alduin skin texture. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I figured Alduin would have a faction that says "Bend Will Excluded faction"I'll look at the bend will shout, but I'm beginning to think that Alduin's race type is immune to it alone, deep within his mesh and programming. lofgren Posted October 7, 2014 Share Posted October 7, 2014 That seems highly unlikely, given that bend will ws released in a dlc and there are about five different possible ways to make him immune just by editing the spell or magic effect, rather than reprogram Alduin. And I guess your right lofgren; What are the other ways that you think may be making him immune?I'd like to make a dragon that looks like alduin, but really isn't so I can bend his will and fly around with a duplicateAlduin. I was even thinking about maybe adding a quest, and some story to maybe an explanation of Alduin beingsent back to Nirn But to serve the Dovahkiin until his death (dovahkiin's death) as ordered by Akatosh, in returnhe will get his lordship restored, by how, remains unknown, I'm just rough drafting. lofgren Posted October 8, 2014 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Well my first guess would be that the shout is filtered to only apply to the common dragon race, either through the script attached (I'm assuming there is a script attached) or through the conditionals on either the spell effect or the spell. I'll try looking into it sometime tonight. *edit For anyone who's still checking this post. I found the answer. Alduin wasn't being effected because he still had the "No soul absorb faction"and the Keyword Alduin still on him. I got rid of both, and now he's tame-able.
