Problems with armor models and blender

maybe too many polygons

thats what im beginning to think.....it has a painful 53700 and the bulk of it is in the chains at the hips...not sure why the maker needed that many polys for a chain lol

Gotta see if i can reduce the polycount without killing the shape of the models

Its because the chains are rendered with too much detail. Dragon Age could probably render those with Bump Maps in the textures almost as well as having them fully 3D. Try saving the model without the chains and try adding them with the texture maps ;)
